• Just getting started here with MAMP 2.0.5 and wordpress 3.3.1

MAMP seems to be working. In MAMP created a new database in phpMyAdmin, set default Apache and MySQL ports

I put the wordpress files in htdocs (applications>MAMP>htdocs)

web sharing is off (Mac OS 10.7.2 by the way)

I changed the WordPress file “wp-config-sample.php” with my database name username “root” and password “root” and changed the file name to “wp-config.php”

I type “localhost” in the browser and see my subfolders, but where the wordpress files should be is blank. Also blank broser when point directly to a php file that I know is there.

    any help would be appreciated.
    thanks
