WordPress not showing updated file

I am skinning my own theme for WordPress 2.3.3. I have made changes to my sidebar.php file but they are not showing up on my index.php file when I open it up in a browser. When I open sidebar.php in my admin editor, the changes I have made are there and when I save it via admin editor it still doesn’t show up. I can make changes to other files and have them work properly. I am not using any cache plugins or any such settings. Does anyone have any ideas?
