WordPress not showing up on site after installed..?? Please Help!

  • So I’m still a little new to installing wordpress, I have however installed it on multiple websites and never ran into any issues until now. I recently installed wordpress on a site and I’m able to login to my wp dashboard and edit my site. But when I go to the main site, it still has my the host site page and doesn’t show my wordpress blog. It only works when I go to https://www.mysite.com/wordpress but it isn’t showing up when I go to https://www.mysite.com.

    Hopefully that makes sense. I checked out the settings and the url is set to mysite.com. I also checked out the siteurl under the phpmyadmin area and nothing seems amiss…My site also shows up when I go through the aliased parent url under my primary domain.

    I opened a ticket, but my host hasn’t gotten back to me and I don’t know what else to do. I’m still new to everything, so I’m a little confused and stuck.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated ??

    Does that mean you have some sort of a page at mysite.com? Under Construction?

    Are you installing WordPress to operate from the root?

    If you have both an index.html and index.php in the root the index.html file will execute first and index.php will not be called to start your blog. If so FTP to your site and rename the index.html to something else.
