I am using the a static homepage on https://www.viva-naija.com, but I have noticed that not every single post is visible in the main body of the home-page. It is missing some articles. What could be the reason for this?

    Thanks

do you want static page as homepage? or latest post?
if you want latest posts on homepage you should not have static page as homepage go to settings and set latest post to display on homepage.

not sure if it helps you contact back and may be we can discuss on chat and i may help you.
    thx

The reason why WordPress may not be showing every post could be that your theme doesn’t have “next and previous navigation” option.
Check settings>>reading and check how many posts are set to show. By default it is 10 but maybe it was switched somehow to a different number.

    Thanks for the prompt responses!

@computerselfemployment – I do want the static page to be the home page. I wanted to model the site exactly as it is on the theme page. However, when you scroll down under the header, there should be a part for posts to be visible. I would have thought that these posts would be in chronological order, but it just seems to skip some posts arbitrarily.

@mobilunity – Yup, I’m all set up for 10 posts per page. I did not change the default. The Next/Prev buttons are working; point is that some posts are simply not there on the front end.

No, I mean that if I wrote approx 5 posts, 3 are being visible on the front page.

Actually, I think I have sorted it out now. Thank you all for trying. It was something to do with the theme and not WordPress per se.

    Resolved.
