wordpress not notifying on new version

    I have two installations of WordPress on different servers; one behaves as I expect, but the other never notifies me when there is a new version of WordPress available. Is this a setting somewhere I’ve broken?

    I use the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin (awesome) but it doesn’t seem to work when WP itself doesn’t recognize that an upgrade is available (no “new version” notification displayed in the admin area).

    Grateful for any assistance…
