  • I wonder first what you mean by “new” and by “old” version? And what does your friend’s installation have to do with your own website?

    Hi,
    Let me clear.

When called, an endless redirection occurs. I would recommend to deactivate all plugins. If it is then again callable, activate the plugins individually until there is the problem again. Since the wp-admin area is still accessible, I think you should be able to do this.

If this does not solve the problem, you should check the htaccess file. You can find it via FTP. Your hosting support can certainly help you.
