    Hello guys,

i heard about Wordperss Multisite domain mapping and i have a question related to it.
i have a ecommerce store which i need to be run for 3 different continents. Now rather than using different domains like xyzeu.com, xyzusa.com, xyzuk.com, i need subdomains to be created on parent domain to redirect users to their region domain. SO for europe, when parent site opened there, it should be eu.xyz.com or uk.xyz.com.

Is this concept be achievable with wordpress multisite domain mapping?

When you activate multisite, your subsites will live at addresses like eu.example.com, uk.example.com, usa.example.com, etc (this is called sub-domain setup)… or example.com/eu, example.com/uk, exampe.com/usa, etc (this is called sub-directory setup).

This is just an OPTION you choose at the time of setting up Multisite. It’s a native feature, and you don’t need any domain mapping to make this work.

thanks a lot, looks like i had the wrong concept about subdomains. However, can you tell how subdomains are setup for parent domain in wordpress multisite. im lost in internet research and cant find the solution.

You need to properly setup your domain name and webserver (hosting), and WordPress will handle the rest for you automatically. All you need to do (in WordPress) is select the option to use sub-domains, as pictured above.

Please spend a little time to go through the official documentation on setting up a multisite network:
