WordPress Multiple Languages selected language in URL

    I checked out several language plugins. Two of them are really good for me: qTranslate and WPML.

    There is one thing I don’t understand concerning these plugins. Rewriting an URL is actually no problem. Like https://www.wordpresstest.com/en for English articles or https://www.worpresstest.com/fr for French.
    My installation of WordPress is done in German. When I select German in the frontend, the URL will stay in the format https://www.wordpresstest.com without any language folder attached in the URL.

    Both WPML and qTranslate act like this. Is there a way to solve the URL rewrite for EACH language?
