Multi-site geograpical question

Ok, here’s my intent and a question. I am developing a youth sports website for my state. I want to divide the state into three geographical areas, North, Central and Southern. Each area will have youth sports content specific to that geographical area and also have different sponsors and advertisers for those regions.

I have the basic site up right now but I am wondering how I could go about having one site but have the content for three areas available for the public to choose from. Do I make three different websites, one for each area and just link to the home page or is there away of doing this that I am not thinking clearly enough about. Would love input from the members on how they might handle this.
