WordPress MU new user showing 404

  • I have installed WPMU and it is up and running.

    I add a new user and it allows that to happen.
    It sends an email to the user with the details necessary to start their blog.

    When I access the link to log in which for example is:
    https://judy.mydomain.com/wp-login.php
    I get:

    This program cannot display the webpage

    Most likely causes:
    You are not connected to the Internet.
    The website is encountering problems.
    There might be a typing error in the address.

    I was offered 2 choices of having the name of the blog show up in front of the domain name or behind it … I chose the infront.

    Have I failed to turn something on during install?

    Since this is a brand new install I can reinstall if necessary.
    Any suggestions or help will be appreciated ??
