WordPress MU Domain Mapping CNAME / IP Records not resolving
-
I did a sub-domain multi-site setup on an existing WordPress site.
Main site
Sub-Domain in QuestionThe server is hosted at Bigrock and does not have a dedicated IP.
The client purchased https://mukeshaudiovision.com from Bigrock.
Assumably, I should be able to point the new domain to the top-level domain (garodia.in) and the domain mapping plugin should re-route it to the sub-domain for the site. I have it mapped in the plugin already.
DNS records for the new domain (https://mukeshaudiovision.com):
Using Forwarding and Masking facility I am able to point https://mukeshaudiovision.com to mukeshaudiovision.garodia.in (this is just a landing page for now, so this is a temporary solution, but it works, however I can’t pass sub-directories on this domain as a limitation of the company the domain was purchased through.)
www CNAME garodia.in (this isn’t resolving, as you can check here)
* CNAME garodia.in (also not working)What am I doing wrong. I need to have this sorted out relatively quickly as I’ll need sub-directories for https://mukeshaudiovision.com to pass properly for further development.
