WordPress Media upload not working after upload

Hi, after upgrading to wordpress 5.6, the media upload does not work anymore. It gets stuck and timesout. The whole site stays unresponsve for a while and then finally gives out a post=processing error or unresponsive error.

So I have to revert back to a previous version, I already tried removing all the plugin. Also tried manual and automatic update.

Does the media upload functionality have any new php module requirement that I might be missing.
