WordPress Media Library/Featured Image not Loading Fix: Remove Smush

    After a day to fix the WordPress Media Library and Featured Image not loading (blank page) problem, I realized removing Smush fixes the problem! Yes, I removed the Smush and the Featured Image problem is solved!

    I am very unhappy with all problems and a whole day of wasting my time all caused by Smush. Please fix this serious issue.

    I’m really sorry that you have experienced such trouble with our plugin.

    Such issues surely shouldn’t be happening in any case but if they do, there’s always some reason for this. I suppose this might have been some sort of conflict that could be solved (or at least explained) but I don’t see any ticket from you reporting the case so we could troubleshoot it and find solution.

    I’m really sorry this happened to you and I apologize for the trouble. I and my colleagues will be more than happy to assist you further if you decide to give Smush another shot.

    IF so, let us know please:

    – are you using any other plugin(s) related to image optimization on your site?
    – is there Jetpac installed and active?
    – are by any chance images offloaded to external storage and/or is there CDN used other than CloudFlare (and if so, which one is it)?
