WordPress MAMP Creating more than one website

    Hi,

    I was wondering if you can create more than one website with the same username with MAMP. I just downloaded MAMP for my mac to create a wordpress website, and I’m trying to figure out how it works.

    Yes, you can create as many sites as you like with the same user name; they’re different users because users are attached to sites and not global inside the MAMP universe.

    I have not used MAMP in particular, but I do use XAMPP on my PC.

    I make multiple test sites by simply putting each site into a folder under /htdocs. So I have /htdocs/wptrunk and /htdocs/test and so on. Each of those is a separate install.

    Yep, same in MAMP. Each folder is a different site.
