• Hey,

    recently I came across a strange behaviour on one of my WordPress sites (https://brdnik.si/pita/). If you scroll down until the end of the post I published, WordPress loads “empty” posts with just the favicon picture and comments form. I have no idea from where this bug came from cause I didn’t change a thing since few weeks except updating wordpress and plugins.

    I have following plugins installed:
    – Akismet
    – Broken link checker
    – Dynamic to top
    – exclude pages navigator
    – goolge analyticator
    – iframe
    – jetpack
    – limit plugins attempts
    – jetpack
    – limit logins attempt
    – sharebuttons addtoany
    – wordpress importer
    – wordpress SEO
    – yop poll

    does anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

    Have you tried: – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default, core-bundled Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.
    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).
    – If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the issue, try MANUALLY re-uploading all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first!
    BTW, if you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. It’s a great safety net.

    and……

    what theme are you using?

    @tara
    – deactivating all plugins … doesn’t work
    – switching to core-bundled theme … doesn’t work
    – reset plugins folder … doesn’t work
    – will try manually uploading all files

    @evan
    I’m using Wallpress theme by Designwall (https://www.designwall.com/wordpress/themes/wallpress/)

    Can we see the site using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    @esmi
    all plugins off and twenty fourteen theme – the “blank” post are not appearing. So it’s the theme that is causing problems or?

    It sounds like it’s a theme issue. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    I’m using Wallpress theme by Designwall, downloaded from their site (https://www.designwall.com/wordpress/themes/wallpress/)

    It appears that all of the empty “Leave a Reply” boxes at the bottom of the home page are all tied to “post-1783”. See if you can find that post# in your posts and if there’s either something weird added to the end of the post or whether you’ve got something setup in jetpack relating to post #1783.

    The home of your theme’s support forum looks to be here. Go down the page and click on the Questions tab. Your source code lists your theme as “/themes/dw-wallpress-1.1.0-theme/” vs. “/themes/dw-wallpress/” so you may have a custom/child theme overriding something. Hope that helps!

    I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a non-WPORG theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from www.remarpro.com here.
