• A week ago I made a page on wordpress “.com/page” I put no content on the page. Later I deleted the page and emptied my trash bin. Days later I go back and try to make the page again, this time it comes up “.com/page2”

I noticed my first page I made is showing up on the net as “.com/page.HTML” On that page it has the directory of my website.

Where do I go to find that “HTML” page and delete it? It’s not on wordpress and it’s not on my host.

I’ve never made a HTML on wordpress before and I didn’t know that wordpress is making HTML pages.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

WP isn’t so much making a .html page as much as it’s responding to such a request with dynamically created content — the directory listing. It’s something your theme or a plugin is doing. WP core doesn’t do anything like that. Narrow down the culprit by deactivating all plugins and switching to Twenty Twenty-one theme. The page request should now go 404 not found. Restore your normal theme and plugins, one at a time, until the page becomes available again. The last module activated is the culprit.

You might also want to clear your cache. It could have created a page in your cache and displayed it.
