WordPress login …web developer gone awol

  • How can I get my website wordpress login details? I paid a web designer to build my website. I have a nonfunctional placeholder in my domain but the developer has gone awol and has never given me the login details and never finished my website. She doesn’t respond to my emails or my phone calls. I now have to hire a new website designer to build my website from scratch but need to delete the current placeholder and everything else the previous designer did.Thanks!

  • Simple,

    Go to phpmyadmin and open wordpress site data base. Go to wp_users table here you got listed of wp users details. Password in encrypted format so you can change it and then use it.

    If the domain and the webhost account are registered in your name, then you should start by contacting the hosting company to get access to your account.

    Next, your new developer will be able to help you save a backup of the current site (files and database).
