WordPress Keeps Renaming My Post /post-2

  • I have trashed the post & deleted it permanently…yet WordPress keeps renaming the post /eve-2. I just want to name the post /eve. Please advise!

  • I’m having the same problem. I don’t know why, and changing it with the Edit doesn’t change it. There’s no duplicate post, so it should work…can anybody help?

    Make sure you empty the trash — otherwise WP thinks it still exists.
