WordPress keeps logging me out

  • I modified the theme ‘TwentyTen’ to make my own theme. After a few days, when everything was up & running, i found out that my own theme was replaced with the original TwentyTen pages. Now when i try to edit the pages (Appearance – Editor) and press the ‘Update file’ wordpress logs me out. I tried a reinstall and deleted all the plug-ins. Didn’t do the trick. Anyone had this before? What’s the catch? This story doesn’t count for one website but for several.

  • Try a different browser. If you don’t have the log-out problem in another browser, then it may be a problem with your WordPress cookies – go into your main browser’s cookie-management area and delete all WordPress cookies for the affected domains.

    All the browsers i use have the same problem (safari, firefox, chrome, internet explorer).

    HELP?? I have found this logging out problem stated in many prior posts – AM YET to see a solution – any Guru’s able to comment?

    I have Modularity-lite operating WP 3.0.5, today I was doing updates, (no plugin added today) it was working fine, then all of a sudden forced log outs commenced – every time you do just one change, it may update, then click for another admin function, bingo logged out!! site is https://www.surfscapephotography.com

    I use Firefox, I have cleaned cache/cookies. Judging by the number of prior issues this is an ongoing problem – is WP broken??

    Man this is crazy!! It is now 10.30pm, all the issues I had today with being logged off continually have “disappeared”.

    YES I just spent half an hour changing some style.css info, adding pages, etc and not once was I logged off after any update, BUT I had done nothing different to what I had been doing earlier in the day – when I was continually being logged off (see prior post).

    Totally unexplainable???
