WordPress keeps creating a subdomain "blog"
-
WordPress keeps creating a subdomain on my host server. The folder is called “blog” and there is nothing in it… totally empty. I will delete it but after a day or two the folder will be recreated.
There are no other pages created as “subdomains” on my server (ie An “about us” page does not create an “about us” folder in my root directory… just “blog” for some reason).
It interferes with my site and causes an “Apache- parent directory in port 80” error page to be displayed when I navigate to the “blog” section of my site.
As soon as I delete the folder again the site functions perfectly.
Hostgator has said nothing on the server end is causing it… and said WordPress was creating the folder. How do I prevent WordPress from recreating the subdomain? Any thoughts?
