WordPress is slow and keeps freezing on me

  • I can’t even get to editing my site because no matter what theme I install and try to use the wordpress dashboard takes forever to load and keeps freezing on me part way through and sometimes the dashboard does not load all the things in the menu on the left. I have already tried a fresh install of wordpress 3x and this did not fix the issue.

    I even tried to reset the cpanel by having it reinstalled and this did not work. I even tried clearing all my cookies and cache in my browser and this did nothing I even tried that wp super cache app and it did not work. Not sure what could be the problem or why this is doing this. Help is appreciated.

  • There is very little to go on here. Have you checked your error log? It’s located in the WordPress root, the same as wp-config.php and is called error_log.

    Open the file with a text editor and scroll to the bottom of the listings. If there are recent errors post them here. Don’t post repeat errors, usually for one time period is all that is needed.
