WordPress is impressively hard to use!

  • I’m amazed that everything needed to work it is obscure, tucked away, unmentioned, impossible to find, and apparently not listed anywhere.

  • Any examples, hints, tips, ideas on what you’re trying to do? Critisism is good, but it’s best to keep in constructive so the devs can get an idea of what the problem actually is.

    You’ll probably hear this from a few people, but if you think WordPress is hard, go have a look at Drupal. You’ll be “amazed” as how hard a simple CMS can be.

    I found it fairly intuitive but sometimes I stumble around a good bit…

    And then I’ll come up with some kind of ‘way cool’ idea and a complicated way of getting there only to figure out it’s not all that complicated after all.

    So hang in there and give it a chance.

    rerevisionist, Unless you can provide some examples of what you mean then this topic isn’t going to go anywhere.

    It’s not that people do not want to assist you but your topic is very vague. Any system has a learning curve and if there’s somewhere that you had a concern or found difficult then sharing that could help sort out where the problem is.

    WordPress is hard to use? seriously?
    For me, wordpress is just a drag and drop, edit and re-write CMS, The simplest I have ever used outside googles good old blogger.

    For the things needed to work it; there are tons of templates, themes and plugins out there and a majority of them are free.
