    Hi,

I’ve left a development site untouched for a week or so, and when I look at the front end I receive a message:

https://www.example.com is currently unable to handle this request.
    500

I’ve both reset permalinks and disabled all plugins, and the issue remains.

    Advice appreciated.

    Regards,
    Steve.

I’m getting this error, did anyone find a solution?

I am getting the same problem all of a sudden today (April 5, 2016). I haven’t made any changes to my site for many days.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Same do I, yesterday my website is off, same error: “…is currently unable to handle this request. 500”, how can i fix?
    yesterday was black day, :((

    Hello,

I started getting the error message “currently unable to handle this request 500” whenever I tried to login to the dashboard of a few of my websites in a multisite installation.

I figured out that a WordPress Plugin “Amazon Simple Affiliate” was the cause and I disabled the plugin and it fixed the problem.

I hope that the guy that created that plugin can create a patch or something so that I can get the plugin to work because as it is right now the plugin will cause the problem again if I enable it.

    Goodluck

Good tip in checking plugins. It was a maintenance page plugin that was causing the problem!

    Hi Folks,

In my case, the issue was with a plugin as well but it is different one.

iTheme plugin was causing the issue on my site. I have deactivated this plugin and it is fine for now.

    Good luck,

Same error here. I host my blog on a personal synology station (77.156.240.11). The issue is I cannot access access any page on the site, even through LAN, although I can ping the adress with 100 % success. I can access the files through FTP, but I don’t know where to start investigations. I have stopped and restarted WEb Station, PHP, MariaDB and wordpress, with no success. I can’t remember changing anything over the past days.

    Any help appreciated, thanks

I have the same issue right now. I disabled some plug ins and then boom page went dead and got the same error message. I cant log in or anything. Who did you guys call?

I opened a ticket with Synology, still no answer as of today. Anyone could at least tel me where to start looking in the WP files ?

    Hi,
I updated to the latest version of WordPress (4.5) and since then i’m facing day-to-day problems.

The latest is, i tried to install around 9 plug-ins at the same time (bulk action) and bam! within few seconds i got the following message –

    ‘The example.com page isn’t working

example.com is currently unable to handle this request.’

Also, i’m not able to log-in to my dashboard.

    Anyone facing/faced the same problem?
