WordPress installed but still points to old textpattern database
-
I decided to switch from textpattern to wordpress.
I had been working on the new wordpress site through my local host via MAMP.
I decided I wanted to make it live, so I did the automatic wordpress install in my godaddy hosting account. I made an sql backup file from my local host and imported it in to my online database, changing all the “localhost” instances to the actual host name.
Once the install was complete and I had migrated my database over, I changed the general settings so that wordpress was installed in a separate wordpress directory, but pointed to my domain name for the actual site.
When I went to my site (jbforrest.com), it was still showing the old textpattern site. Someone else had set up textpattern for me, so I couldn’t access the database through myphpadmin. Instead I made a backup and deleted the database, thinking that wordpress would be the only thing on there so it would have to point to that.
jbforrest.com was still trying to access the textpattern site, so I made a backup of my server files, then deleted all the textpattern stuff through my ftp. It still is trying to access the textpattern site and not the wordpress site.
I can see my wordpress site at jbforrest.com/wordpress, but not at the root. What am I doing wrong here?
