Hi! I downloaded the latest version of WordPress, trying to install it on my husband’s new site.

I’m not a professions and I’ve already build my own site, some years ago, with WordPress, without any problem.

Well, this time it seems I’m an idiot!
I’ve followed my hosting instruction about DNS setting, I’ve created the database (and cancelled and recreated and more), checked the Access Hosts as they suggested me.

I’ve followed all the steps in the WordPress Installation Guide. Renamed the file config.php, filled with database info, checked it a dozen times, or maybe more.

    Installed WordPress in public_htm.
    Launched wp-admin/install.php. Error.
    Re-edited config.php and re-installed. Nothing.
    Cancelled WordPress. Re-installed. Error.

I’ve wrote the support forum of my hosting, they checked the server and DNS setting and Access Hosts setting (I’ve sent them the screenshots) and it seems all ok.

Really, I don’t know how to fix it.

    The site is: https://www.aspassoconpapa.it

Please, I’m looking forward some suggestions! Thank you Cristina

    Yes @kmessinger, thank you!
I’ve found a guide “for dummies” like me, in… german!! Fortunately I speak that language.

I followed the instruction and it worked. I’m a beginner, I didn’t know I could do in another way… And after trying for days and days, solving this issue it’s wonderful!
I’m writing here the method, hoping it can be useful.

    – install WordPress without changing the file “wp-config-sample.php”
    – launch the site and follow the instruction, automatically creating the file “config” and filling in the form with database data

    It worked for me.

    Thank you for your attention!

    Hi
I have problem with installing WordPress. I am using hostgator and I have installed wordpress with quickinstall. Then it says: Installation Complete. In installation details have link where it is installed, username and password. When I click on the link it opens blank page. I don’t know what is the problem. I am installing wordpress 4.6.1
I tried to change the PHP version but it didn’t worked.
    Thanks

hi @nikolinap try to login your wp-login.php. if you are not see log in page then you contact hostgator or wait for your dns updating (if new host).

Hello, I am having the same problem as you @cstmra . I have also tried your method of not changing the config.php file and it doesnt work either… Im desperate. I′ve tried everything. I′ve done the installation over and over and again and it never works.

    It says ¨Not Found

The requested URL /wp-admin/install.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. ¨

    Please can someone help me?

I dont know if im doing something wrong but I have surely followed all the steps in the 5 minute installation and also the detailed installation.

    The site is https://mercedesmedina.com/

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I am just embarking on building my first web-site for my ‘Chauffeur Driving’ business. Hopefully www.remarpro.com will be suitable etc?

However, I have encountered a problem at almost the first hurdle; installing the App on my iPad Mini, using Safari iOS 9.3 with a mobile SIM connection. As soon as I try Install it states Safari can’t do this. I assume I need to call into my nearest ‘Hotspot WiFi’ cafe to connect by WiFi and then, due presumably to the GB size of the ‘download’, it will permit me to Install?

    Can anyone confirm please?

    Many thanks.

    Regards

    Chris JL
