    Hello. I am new to the Mac OS and i don’t know how can i go on after i managed to download the WordPress folder. What do i have to do with it to be able to install that.. IS there a step by step explanation somewhere? Thank you in advance

    Get the “lightning” version of Local here: https://localwp.com/ I use it on my Mac to run a localhost WordPress site.

    Note that running a site on your Mac is local only. If you want a site ‘out there on the web’, you’ll need to purchase hosting.

    What @sterndata said is correct, however it is possible to install WordPress on your Mac and have it live to the web, however it’s quite technical. Mac systems have Apache pre-installed, so you wouldn’t need to worry about that. This article might be helpful, but it could depend on lots of other factors, such as your network.
