wordpress install not visible

  • I just purchased a domain, hosting and a theme. I have used Instalatron on my Cpanel. Gone through the install process. But my home page still appears as the marking page from my web hosting company.

    I have gone into cpanel, as I believe I need to change the index.html file. But visually I cannot even see anything installed.

    Any ideas on what I have done wrong or steps I may have missed.

  • did you install in the public_html folder?
    and you will need to rename/delete the placeholder index.html file to let wordpress’ index.php work

    It is in the public_html folder.

    This is how it appears:

    public_html
    -cgi-bin
    -wp-admin
    -css
    -images
    -includes
    -js
    -maint
    -network
    -user

    But in the right hand portion of the cpanel, nothing appears, even when I click on the wordpress files. So this makes it difficult to remove and replace files.

    I am totally lost on this

    I do not see rest of wordpress folders and files are they all in public_html do you have any other website in public_html

    I think my best bet is to start over again on this install. My cpanle has instalatron, is this a good way to install. Can you direct me to a tutorial on this.

    It appears as if it should be simple, but I cannot find all files.
