WordPress Importer Won't Import

  • Could you help me out with importing my blog (normalcooking.wordpress.com) to my custom domain (normalcooking.com)?

    Here’s what I did:
    1) On blog, I went to “Tools>Export>All Content>Download Export File”.
    2) Then I went to my custom domain and chose “Tools>Import>Upload XML”

    I received the following error:
    “Failed to import author. Their posts will be attributed to the current user.”

    Then it didn’t upload my posts, pictures, comments, categories, etc.

    The user isn’t really what I’m worried about. My wife does it all and to be honest it’s not that important to us. The important thing to us is that we REALLY need to get the posts that are on her blog (normalcooking.wordpress.com) and transfer them to the website (normalcooking.com).
