WordPress importer fails to import 4.9 file into 5.0 instance.

I exported data from a site in 4.9.4. Then tried to import these datas on a dev instance on 5.0.1 (docker container with official wordpress image).

The error I receive is “The link you followed has expired.”

So I first tried to increase the upload size. I’m now at 128M which is way sufficient for the 8M exported file.

I got the same misleading error until I changed my container to use an image in 4.9.4.

The plugin is still not marked as compatible with WP 5.0. It’s maybe to be expected but yet it’s quite disappointing.
