    I installed the plug-in WordPress Importer to my site, but I keep getting this error:

    Before you can upload your import file, you will need to fix the following error:

    Unable to create directory /www/99k.org/f/u/n/funtinclubpenguin/htdocs/wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    what do I do?

  • That is because apache (or server’s user) have not permissions to write:

    Solution (only if you have ssh access, not shared hosting)

    1.- chown -R apache /www/99k.org/f/u/n/funtinclubpenguin/htdocs/wp-content/
2.- import
3.- chown -R funtinclubpenguin /www/99k.org/f/u/n/funtinclubpenguin/htdocs/wp-content/
