WordPress HTTPS Activated Results In Broken Site Elements
-
SSL is installed for the domain. Apparently that alone did not work to enable SSL on the site (GoDaddy hosting, domain registrar). Downloaded WordPress HTTPS plugin and enabled it. The results:
1. Broken Font Awesome icons (using the Font Awesome plugin)
2. Main Menu has lost its submenus. Assuming this has something to do with Google Chrome reporting ‘Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined’
3. Already tried a SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin, which did nothing to improve the issue.
5. Tried modifying the .htaccess to switch the URL to ‘https’, same result: broken images/font-awesome plugin icons, etc.
6. Modified the Settings > General WP URL and SA URL, still no difference in the frontend–just broken links.
7. Did a test in Why No Padlock and resulted with tons of insecure item results. Not sure where to begin fixing these issues. Site looks normal without ‘https’.
Thank you.
