wordpress howdy and how are you

    i have two wordpress sites , both i guess using the 4.4 installation called Billy. the auto update came up and i updated. i just noticed yesterday that one of my sites still says howdy, and the other one says how are you? didn’t the update work for one of them? i learnt wordpress howdy has changed to how are you. i am wondering if I am still using an old version of wordpress but nothing showing that too. is it possible that you could have the latest version of wordpress installed and still have the welcome salutation being howdy, instead of how are you?

    At the bottom-right corner of the Dashboard on the “howdy” sites, what is the version number listed as?

    unfortunately at the bottom-right corner of the Dashboard there’s nothing there.i guess i installed a security plugin that hides my version of wordpress but I am sure that I have updated so there’s no update wordpress button. and i did update for security reasons. but i now remember that i changed the language of the other site yesterday. it was originally English (US), i had to make some plugin translations so i changed the language to English (UK). is this possible? cause the site language i changed it back to English (US) about 12 hours ago, so i am now noticing that the salutation has changed. do you think that may be causing the howdy and how are you?

    yeah i saw it. it’s on the dashboard at a glance section. it says wordpress 4.4.
