WordPress hangs when posting and posts cut off

This has been a recurring issue with a blog we’ve got set up. I’ll write a post including standard text and some images. I’ll go to post it, and the browser will hang while attempting to interact with wp-admin/post.php. Sometimes the post will go through and will show up in its entirety on the blog, but then within 5-10 minutes if you refresh the post is cut off at a certain point and commenting is closed (after it was originally set to open).

We’ve looked at the database entries, and for some reason the MYSQL select command often returns only the partial post (but of a slightly different length than what shows on the blog), but when you dump from the field it returns the entire post contents.

We’ve looked into php.ini issues without luck, and we’ve tried disabling themes/plugins, but the problem still occurs.

Most recently, we created a new database and WordPress install and moved the entire blog onto the new install, but the problem still occurs. We have another blog set up in an identical manner (with different posts, theme, similar plugins) on the same server that has not experienced these issues. Any ideas? Thanks.
