WordPress glitches…
-
One of my client’s sites has been doing some funny things lately. To start, I’ll say that the site did have a virus a few months ago, but I cleaned out all the infected code, reinstalled WordPress, and changed themes, but there’s still some funny things happening.
For one, when I’m logged into the Dashboard, the dashboard dropdown menus (admin, Dashboard, Edit Page, Add New, Comments, Appearance) are showing up on the website’s pages, over the page content- I’ve had to install a plugin to hide it, but it still bugs me that it’s something that shouldn’t be happening in the first place.
Second, there’s a little ‘>’ in the upper left-hand corner of every page, and I have no idea where it came from, or what file it’s actually hidden in. Since I switched themes, and it’s still there, I’m assuming it’s in one of the native WordPress files, but I can’t find which one! I don’t think it’s actually hurting anything, it’s just really annoying.
Lastly, none of the images are showing up that have always been on the site. They keep showing a broken link. I’m in the process of going through the directories to see if the images have been moved (I think that’s what happened, somehow.) If it isn’t that, I’m not sure what could have happened!
If anyone wants to take a look at the site (don’t judge, it’s still a work in progress) it’s ‘balletgloriadeo.com’. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
