WordPress forum integration (showing reply count)

  • I am looking to integrate my WordPress blog with a forum. (Vanilla, phpbb or whatever) Specifically, I am looking to publish posts on my blog via WordPress and have them automatically posted on the forum too (+ providing a link on the blog post to the respective thread and displaying # of forum replies recieved). In other words, I want an automatic thread created (forum) and linked to (on blog); and then be able to show the amount of forum replies recieved; on the blog post.
    So people will be commenting on the forum instead of main site. These sites are doing just that but how??? https://breatheheavy.com/ and https://appleinsider.com/
    How do I do that?
