WordPress for Dummies?

Is there an area for complete dummies? I’d like to know a few things like: What is a catagory. For instance, If your site is about Flowers, then Catagories would be different ‘articles’ on different flowers?
What are tags?

This isn’t as easy as I thought. There’s got to be a dictionary of terms somewhere, right? Thanks in advance!
