WordPress files on one server, database on another?

  • Hi,

    is it a silly idea to have the wordpress files on one server and the database on another (ahem, not my idea)? And how should I do it?

  • Many hosting providers are set up like that. There is no silliness to the idea. You just need to ensure that there is suitable communication through firewalls etc. between your web server and database server.
