WordPress error won't let me publish today.

  • Help. I can’t publish a post today. I save draft and then click the Preview (before publishing), but no matter what I try to do to resolve this issue, the preview keeps showing me the following message written across a photo within the post.
    It reads: Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App’s settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App’s domains.

    Not sure if I am posting this in the right department. I see info about Facebook in relation to some of the error message, but, I am simply trying to get my post done. If I publish, I fear this message will be written across the published post. I have tried removing photos thinking there is something wrong with them and I have removed a Facebook widget from my blog and I have deleted some more recent App allowed to link to facebook, but to no resolution. Please advise ASAP, if you know of a fix.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Thank you and I am trying to work on different solutions including the plug ins, but NOW, I see that the above is all over my published posts now too, or rather has been there and I did not know it. The message reads

    Now, I wonder if I have been hacked or a plug in or what ? I have also noticed that I have almost no traffic.

    I am trying to add pages to my site for class lectures.

    this is the error message I keep getting, regardless if I try to save or publish or edit…
