WordPress Error when connecting

  • Hello, I have been using Social Connect for about a month now and everything was running smoothly. But today I noticed none of the social connects are working.

    With Facebook I get a blank page that says “wordpress Error” in the title bar.

    With Google Yahoo and Twitter – it takes me to the sign in page for them and then comes back with WordPress Error again.

    I haven’t really changed anything with my site except for some caching settings – I turned off W3 total cache but it still had the same error.

    I just installed Social Connect 1.0.5 with WordPress 3.8.1
    Other extensions:
    – Better WP Security 3.6.6
    with “Prevent long URL strings” desable
    – Askimet 2.6.0
    – Better WordPress reCAPTCHA 1.1.0
    – Contact Form 7 v. 3.7.2
    – Extension Contact Form 7 reCAPTCHA 0.1.0
    – Flamingo 1.0.6
    – Social Linkz 1.6.2
    – UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore 1.8.12

    The site is configured with:
    define( ‘FORCE_SSL_LOGIN’, true );
    define( ‘FORCE_SSL_ADMIN’, true );

    When I clic on the Google icon, I get a blank window that says “WordPress Error” in the title bar.

    so sorry I haven’t responded. I was not getting email notifications of responses.

    I am running W3total cache with support of Cloudflare and Cloudfront. You plugin was working originally with these but I wonder if there is a conflict now with one of these.

    I think this issue relates to having ssl enabled for login pages. I had the same error. Disabled ssl on login pages and no more error.
