WordPress error cropping image

  • I have done a local installatin of xamp and wordpress in windows 8.
    php version is php-8.0.11.
    Getting the following error while editing images in wordpress
    WordPress error cropping image ..
    I have checked the gd installation. gd in php.ini etc. but still getting the same error.

  • Do you get the same error if you use PHP 7.4?

    Is the imagick module enabled in your PHP?

    There has been an error cropping your image.
    wordpress version:5.9
    webserver:xampp
    theme:twentytwentyone

    when i tried to add site icon.iam getting this error
