A while ago we installed w3 total cache on 3 sites in the same setup. (same server, WP version and plugins.) W3total cache version 0.9.5.1
One site is frequently unavailable. In Firefox there is a white screen and only a grey horizontal bar nothing else. And in the page title “WordPress fout” (that’s dutch for WordPress error).
When I log in the WP backend in Firefox the frontend site comes up again. But in another browser I have to clear the page cache to get the site back.

Does anyone know what is causing this error and have a solution?

  • What version of PHP are you running?

    Hi Destac,

    PHP 5.5.38
I have not experienced any issues with the 2 other sites, with almost identical setup, on the same server.

    Hi Galuhp

Good it solved your problem. But did you have the same error?
I only have css minify and js minify enabled. Which minify settings did you disabled?

Please let me know so I can troubleshoot my problem.

i check the error using validator.w3.org when the WordPress shows errors

Thank you, looks like you have a diffrent cause as I don’t have html minify enabled.

I will have to continue looking for the cause of the problem.

I changed the order of the rewrite rules in .htaccess. First the ones for WordPress, after that some for .https, then the ones for W3T Cache, and after that 30 redirects.
Untill now the site has no errors anymore for some weeks.

A second site with the same setup (WP+plugins) but on a diffrent server got the same error a week ago.
On this site I also changed the order of the rules in htaccess.

If any issues arise I will post them here. For now it seems to be working okay.
