I have a frustrating problem where any email that is sent from my WordPress website (i.e. contact form, etc) gets directed to my old email client (Thunderbird) instead of my new client/browser (Gmail). But emails from other sources come through to my Gmail browser. It’s as if incoming email is getting separated and going to two different clients/locations depending on its origin. How do I fix it so that all email comes to Gmail?Further, to make it a little more confusing, I use Gmail on my mobile device for email. Weirdly, it only receives emails coming from WordPress sources (my website) and NOT from any other sources… which is the opposite of what Gmail in my web browser on my desktop shows (i.e. it only shows emails from other sources.)

I’m not super knowledgeable about this and don’t know how to fix it so any help would be great. I don’t even know if its a hosting problem (Bluehost), a WordPress problem, or a Thunderbird/Gmail problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @yrad01,

Thanks for reaching out! The issue you have described is not related to the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

By default, your WordPress email notifications will be sent to your WordPress administrator email address. You can change the administrator email address under the WordPress -> Settings -> General area.

You can set your preferred email address as your WordPress admin email.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
