WordPress Email Conflict

  • I have been troubleshooting an email issue we have been having with our site. We use WP Offload SES for email and are using the Futurio theme with the Futurio Extra plugin. As usual I dissabled/deactivated all of the plugins to find the culprit and to my surprise it was the Futurio Extra plugin. When I send a test email through the Offload SES settings the email works and is recieved but anywhere else in wordpress the email is not delivered. The error returned in the logs is “Invalid Address: (From):” This leads me to believe that there is a validator that is failing. We are running WordPress 5.9.3, Futurio Extra 1.7.0 and Offload SES 1.4.6. When I deactivate the Futurio Extra plugin the emails are sent and everything works as it should. What steps should I take to troubleshoot and fix this issue. WP Offload SES is a fairly big player so I imagine someone else has had this issue besides us. Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

    I had a look at the plugin. I need to perform more tests but there is a good chance that the problems I am running into exist here:

    The error returned in the logs “Invalid Address: (From):” indicates to me that an empty string is being returned. This is where this would happen in the Futurio Extra plugin. I have to revisit this tomorrow. I’ll report my findings here.
