• When I search for a string in admin, WordPress doesn’t return the correct number of results.

For example, if I search the string “e,” while there are certainly far more than this, WordPress only returns me 15 results and absolutely no way to page back and forth for the rest. This is incredibly frustrating. Is this a default somewhere that I just can’t see or a bug?

I need to be able to pull up all of the entries that contain an inter-site link so I can change the tag, but this doesn’t work since it won’t return the correct results.

  • Oh, I remember something like this.

How about trying to search for it on the blog proper (not in the admin panel). That might help.

That works, but it doesn’t help though. It returns too -many- results because it won’t search the exact string. If I search joshuameadows.com it searches anything in the middle of that which is just frustrating.

So this is a bug then? When is it going to be fixed? Cos it’s been a problem for me at least from before 2.0.
