WordPress Developer needed (full-time, Washington DC)

Hi guys,

I have a WordPress Developer opportunity, full-time, in Washington DC supporting IBM and the Department of Justice. The position requires US citizenship.

The candidate must have extensive experience in WordPress (OR Drupal) at the enterprise level, including installation, setup, configuration, implementation, deployment,…

The candidate must be able to develop add-on modules and/or plugins to extend the functionality of the WordPress system in place as well as a capability to take on an existing WordPress theme and customize it into a newly looking theme.

The candidate must have some basic knowledge and/or experience implementing security measures to detect things such as SQL injections and/or anything that can pose a threat to their websites.

The candidate should be in a position to perform as a consultant or architect, where needed, to give advice to IBM and the DOJ federal personnel on how to improve their business via WordPress (or another CMS) and their public facing websites.

This position is on-site in Washington DC, US citizenship is required.

The system currently in place is WordPress, they are thinking of moving toward Drupal but not sure yet (that may/may not happen). That decision will depend on your own expertise and how you advise them. So if you have extensive Drupal experience with no or little WordPress experience, that’s perfectly fine.
