• I was having issues with my local host, MAMP and it not connecting to MySQL, after 3 days I finally got it figured out.
Now when I go into phpMyadmin, my wordpress database says its there and the folders look correct but there is no tables in my database, its completely empty. And when I try to access my website via local host, It asks me to install wordpress, saying that my username already exists.
When I attempt to go through with the install, I get a HUGE page of wordpress database error.

I have no idea what is going on here, my goal is to get my database back and host it with another server.

  • Hi briannadawnk, how do you do?

I would safely assume that you are trying to install or port wordpress locally from an already existing site? Is your wordpress hosted from a different server or is it form www.remarpro.com?

When you go through the installation process- did it ask you to specify a database? which database did you use?

If you could also give us a snapshot of the wordpress database error showing up, that’ll be great. Thank you!
