I have about the same problem:
    WordPress database error
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near ‘) >= datetime’ at line 1 for query DELETE FROM wp_petiqblock_logging WHERE DATE_SUB(CURDATE(),INTERVAL DAY) >= datetime; made by require_once(‘wp-admin/admin.php’), require_once(‘wp-load.php’), require_once(‘wp-config.php’), require_once(‘wp-settings.php’), include_once(‘/plugins/iq-block-country/iq-block-country.php’), iqblockcountry_clean_db,

Errors started after updating the web-server:
    Apache 2.2.22 –> 2.4.25
    php 5.4.45 –> 7.0.19
    MySQL Server 5.5.55 –> MariaDB Server 10.1.23
