we are having an error when we go to the WordPress backend page to ‘view all posts’. i tracked down numerous errors in the server log, that all go like this “WordPress database error Commands out of sync; you can’t run this command now for query ……… and all from YOAST tables.

I have installed the YOAST helper plugin, I have done the reindexing.. I have also tried to repair the tables directly through PHP my admin. The only way I am able to get to the “all posts” page is by disabling the yoast plugin….

Do you have any advice on how we can resolve this error so we can keep the yoast plugin on AND still see the “view all posts” page?

    Hi @andreasmilingweb

Can you kindly share with us more information on the WordPress backend page to ‘view all posts’? Are you referring to the Latest posts block? Kindly confirm.

If I am picking up the question correctly, what error do you face when you try to use the Latest posts block? Please provide us with screenshots that highlight the issue you are experiencing. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

I get this message ‘There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’ each time i login, go the the backend dashboard, and under ‘Posts’, pick ‘All posts’.

If i go into the filemanager/server files, I can narrow it down to these specific error messages, but all boils down to WordPress database error Commands out of sync; you can’t run this command now for query INSERT INTO [ALL THE DIFF YOAST TABLES…]

a few screenshots – there are many errors but they all start the same, commands out of sync for a yoast table:

as mentioned, I have installed the YOAST helper plugin, I have done the reindexing.. I have also tried to repair the tables directly through PHP my admin.

The only way I am able to get to open the “all posts” page is by disabling the yoast plugin….

I’m sorry resetting the indexables didn’t resolve the issue for you, @andreasmilingweb. It’s likely due to an issue with a query that’s still running. In this forum topic,?the thread starter confirmed they fixed it by disabling cache/security plugins and reinstalling the plugin. Could you also try that and then re-install Yoast SEO?

Also, the same fix was used here?and?here. It’s something wrong in cache or security that causes a query to never stop.
