WordPress dashboard from WAMPserver

  • Hi, I installed wampserver succesfully on my 64 bit Windows 7 and installed wordpress on it too. Everything went off smoothly and I was able create a local site with it. But the problem came when I used WAMP the next time. I was able to visit the local site through localhost but I am unable to access the wordpress dashboard. Am I doing something wrong? Or how do I access the wordpress dashboard so that I can tweak the theme?

  • @alexisfido try using XAMMP instead of WAMP…. I dont know why WAMP is giving problem but XAMMP is not giving the same

    Hello, i installed WordPress on localhost. Am able to see the dashboard but not my site. Instead it displays ‘It works’. Thanks in advance

    if you are using linux,

    try this command
    sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 stop

    followed by this
    sudo /opt/lampp/lampp start

    let me know if doesnt works.
