WordPress dashboard errors

Hi

I am using 4.3, all the links or menu on the left has dissapeared, is there a way to fix it so that I can see the menu and plugin tabs, all I have left is dashboard, media and profile. Or would it be best to restore a backup or do a new installation of wordpress?

Any help will be good at this point.
